Ok, so before I actually write anything in particular in here, I first want to register exactly why I decided to create this website, it is 5:00am in the morning of May 7th, 2025, I was asked to create a portfolio on github pages for an assignment at college but everything is quite bland and boring about the so-called personal websites, so, I've been wanting to try my hand at something like this for a while and since I ended up watching a bunch of videos on people doing cool stuff with this kind of sites, I got inspired so here I am, hopefully this will be a long term thing and not an adhd impulse
this wasn't really an adhd impulse but life has gotten in the way, I have been very busy with university, I'm studying my last year of computer science and have been doing quite a lot of things related to AI, personally I think that it's a little bit of a fad for a lot of applications, but then again, that's what We've been asked to do, so I'm working on somewhat of an AI assistant that provides recommendations to customers about a bunch of clothing, the dataset is available on kaggle, so, anyway, the thing is that I still want to do this, it's just that I haven't found the time to do so, so yeah, unfortunately this is still pretty much a very early wip.
So, a little bit after the creation of this site I actually started to work, I work at a construction company in the IT department, which is okay I guess, tbf, there's nothing really remarkable about the job, it is mostly bland but the pay is good and the hours are quite flexible, apart from that I left my parents' house and went on to live with my girlfriend, she is an absolutely wonderful woman and I'm really happy with her, So, other than that I've been adultying in a sort of successfull way, I'm actually quite disenchanted with life, nowadays, everything is quite bland, and quite boring, but anyway, the reason why I actually remembered this website was because a saw a youtube video on writing essays in which it essentially said that it is good for developing writing and that got me thinking about how a lot of the content I actually consume on platforms such as youtube are actually essays on various stuff, as an example, just before watching that video I was watching an essay on Trackers by a youtuber called Ahoy, this essay essentially talked about a subculture that developed in the 1990's around software piracy and the very early stages of electronic music production, personally I love the video, in general, I love everything that has to do with old computers, in fact I had already watched the video before and I was just rewatching it because I was using a new YouTube account so my recommended videos reset.
